When is time to delete important data that we want to disappear forever, we are not simply sending it to the recycle bin, in such cases we must resort to other applications to leave no trace.
If in addition we are going beyond accesing our data on computers either at work, on an internet cafe or friends computers, we might carry in our USB drive and bring an application to help us eliminate the data generated in a safe and permanent way. That's when Freeraser enters the scene.
This freeware application has two versions, a portable (1.5mb) and installable (1.8mb). The portable version also requires a small installation in our USB drive , but once this is done we can use it without any problems over there to go where.
The operation could not be easier, we will open a sort of recycle bin on the desktop and drag and drop any file on top of it will disappear forever. Its latest version included a delete confirmation message in case you selected a wrong file by mistake.
The application works with any Windows flavor and it is completely free.

Nice and simple.
Unfortunately some features are missing, like a progress indicator (if you delete multiple files at the most secure way it can take some time), a delete empty space (to secure delete file fragments remaining on your HDD) and other.
But I like it!
